Change of Command Ceremony
On 14 July 2016 the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) organized its Change of Command Ceremony at the Hungarian Defence Forces Medical Centre in Budapest with a large number of distinguished guests, including the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Defence, Mr. Tamás Vargha who delivered the keynote speech. He highlighted that the Hungarian Ministry of Defence was proud that Budapest hosted the Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine and the Centre's outstanding experts had been working for the past 7 years to maintain the high level of NATO’s medical capabilities. "They do an excellent job. The professional competence, the development of the skills of course participants, and the success of the military medical exercise series organized by the Centre, called Vigorous Warrior, confirm that very well." - said Mr. Vargha.

The NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) will conduct the first meeting of of the Multinational Medical Lessons Learned Team as the 4th iteration of the Medical Lessons Learned Workshops, in Budapest Hungary on 6 - 7 September 2016 (recommended travel days 5 and 8 September 2016) which is in direct support of the MILMED COE’s POW, ACT, ACO and COMEDS.
The event is open for all NATO and Partner nations and organizations.
Meeting for the Analysis of Medical Command/Control and Command Authority, 13-14 September 2016, Utrecht
The NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) in close cooperation with NATO Centre of Excellence for Command and Control (C2COE) and COMEDS Military Medical Structures, Operations and Procedures Working Group (MMSOP WG) will organize a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Meeting to analyse issues concerning Medical Command and Control and Medical Command Authority during NATO missions.
The meeting will be held on 13-14 September 2016 in Utrecht (NLD).
